Pornographic Blog By Duluth Sports Writer
Do reporters have greater responsablity for their social media reputation?
A drunken and obscenities laced “open letter to my boyfriend” by Duluth, Minnesota hockey sports writer Christa Lawler has caused a ripple of response posts in her “big giant tampon commercial” blog." Christa's other blog, Sexy Page Turner, is equally as provocative.

While there are no references to Christa’s well respected University of Duluth, Minnesota (UMD) Woman Bulldogs hockey reports, the blogs raise interesting questions as to public perception of reporters and whether reporters are responsible to the community in how they project their social media reputation.

A Google search for Christa Lawler (which I innocently ran to find a hockey article) returns results pointing to the blog.
I’m a big fan of Blogs and I encourage my Duluth search engine optimization clients to create and maintain online marketing blogs. The ability to self-publish blurbs ranging from pragmatic to poetic have empowered the writing masses to get out there and share for a continuum of objectives ranging from catharsis to advertising. I would never propose to regulate the Internet for purposes such as these. In this post I seek to chronicle the issue and not levy a complaint.

That said I’m guessing it will become a matter of community debate when those who we count on to deliver authoritative news and information indulge in graphic blog writing for our children to easily discover while searching for woman hockey player role models. I'm not sure how I would respond to my 11 and 13 year old daughters should they discover this blog while doing research for a Middle School current events project.
